Comedy Writing

Sense of humor is an important character trait because it shows many things about you. It shows that you don't take life too seriously and that you have a funny side to you. It also helps to release stress and lighten your spirit. I believe laughing is one of the best things in life. If you have a good sense of humor, it will help you and the people around you to "loosen up".

There are many tips to help write a humorous narrative. Some are easy and some are not so easy. Here are five of my tips that might help you to write a humorous narrative. You should have a set idea in your head. Once you have this set idea, you can grow off of it and it becomes easier to write the narrative. Humorous narratives don't happen overnight, so it's a good idea to take your time. Make sure your narrative is appropriate for all of your audience. You don't want to offend anyone with your narrative. Test your voice. Practice your narrative in different tones and choose which one fits. Try your humorous narrative on people! You want to make sure it makes people laugh. Don't forget to have fun with it!

My comedic monologue is about braces. I got my braces about five months ago. So far, I have had a "great" time with them. People always come up to me and ask what I think about my braces. Of course they are annoying. You always have food stuck in them and you have to brush many times a day. But they are also fun. I believe my comedic monologue is funny because some people can relate. Even if you don't have braces, you could still imagine the good and bad of them.
